This conference discussed priorities for improving the prevention, detection and treatment of cardiovascular disease (CVD).
It was an opportunity to assess next steps for integrated cardiovascular services as the Government explores innovative approaches to deliver personalised CVD prevention, following the appointment of Professor John Deanfield as Champion for Personalised Prevention.
Delegates examined long-term priorities for improving health outcomes for heart disease patients, following its inclusion as a key condition in the new interim Major Conditions Strategy, expected in its final form in 2024.
We are pleased to have been able to include keynote sessions with Hashum Mahmood, Senior Policy Advisor, Population Health, NHS Confederation; Professor John Deanfield, Professor of Cardiology, University College London; and Dr Aseem Mishra, Clinical Lead for Cardiovascular Disease Prevention, NHS Greater Manchester Integrated Care System (pre-recorded contribution).
