Reviewing the Maths Curriculum - part of the Westminster Education Forum National Curriculum Seminar Series

February 2012

Starting from: £99 + VAT
Format: DOWNLOADABLE PDF

This seminar was a timely opportunity to consider the makeup of the new Mathematics curriculum, due to be implemented in schools from September 2014. Bringing together key policymakers with other stakeholders, sessions focused on the purpose of the curriculum, in terms of desired outputs for universities and employers, and skills for individuals for use in their daily lives - as well as best practice and relevant content required to deliver these aims.
Delegates discussed wider issues in maths education, including ways of ensuring all pupils leave school with basic numeracy skills, whether Maths should be a compulsory subject up to age 18 and the provision of Further Mathematics in schools.
