Bringing together stakeholders and policymakers, this conference was a timely opportunity to assess the next steps for dentistry and oral health.
Following findings from new dental contract prototypes, delegates and speakers discussed key issues in dental contract reform, and wider questions surrounding professional and clinical regulation.
Further sessions looked at priorities for prevention in light of the Scientific Advisory Committee on Nutrition’s (SACN) report on sugar consumption, challenges for regulating dental care - including CQC’s new inspection regime for dental practices - and ensuring that premises are fit for purpose and reflect local need.
