This conference will assess policy priorities for the Creative Industries Sector Plan and for unlocking growth and investment in UK creative industries.

It will be an opportunity for stakeholders and policymakers to discuss priorities for the Creative Industries Taskforce, including strategies for addressing challenges in attracting investment, scaling creative businesses, and developing a skilled workforce.

With these issues having been identified as key growth-driving areas for the sector in the Government’s Industrial Strategy, delegates will also assess the way forward for fostering regional development and accelerating growth across the UK. We expect discussion on priority regions and targeting of the £60m in government funding announced recently by the Secretary of State.

Further sessions will focus on specific needs of creative subsectors, including the distribution of funding through sector funds, and opportunities for regulation in stimulating innovation and private investment. Delegates will also examine the support needed for creative businesses and SMEs in leveraging emerging technology, as well as issues around AI, copyright, and creative IP, looking at opportunities for innovation and technology to support productivity in the context of the AI Opportunities Action Plan.
